Downshifting on the BBC One Show
We recently filmed a short piece on 'life after downshifting' for the One Show. Although the BBC were very interested in Stepping Off and the unique courses we run they were also interested in the lifestyle we have managed to create since we downshifted.
We thoroughly enjoy our lives, we work from home, we run courses and we get to meet really great people.
We also have a portfolio of income streams which give us just enough money to live on - but more importantly give us a great quality of life.
One of our income streams is running 'Smoky Jo's' These are fun courses where we teach people to smoke their own food at home.
The BBC thought that the smoking courses would be more visually attractive for TV and entertainment then Stepping Off courses (and anyway clients who come on Stepping off courses rarely wish to be on the TV!)- so catch us teaching Carol Thatcher how to catch a trout and smoke it!

It isn't a load of old RUBBISH....
Have a look at this great new book by Tracey Smith - it is so good we recommend it for our book of the month. Great ideas on how to recycle- essential reading for the downshifting.
